Your next move

Fix what holds you back. Find what comes next.

You do not need a crisis to work with Astorla. Whether the priority is reaching profitability or building on success, connect demand, competitors and commercial performance before choosing the next move.

Demand & competition

Where should you grow next?

Explore new markets, product categories or service offers. Compare customer needs with competitor positioning, pricing and search visibility to find opportunities your business can serve well.

Your next move: choose the market, offer or customer need worth testing.

Profitability

Why are sales not turning into profit?

Work out what you can afford to pay for a customer. Test whether the answer lies in pricing, product mix, acquisition costs, the buying journey or repeat purchases—with fixed costs and cash needs in view.

Your next move: a plan to reach profitability or improve the profit you already make.

Marketing & investment

How far can today's success scale?

Decide whether to back a winning product, attract more of the right clients or expand a campaign. Check acquisition costs, conversion, margins and delivery capacity before committing more.

Your next move: know what to scale, protect, test or stop.

Sample / growth reviewIllustrative decision

Sales are up.
Profit is not.

Illustrative arithmetic, not client data. All amounts below are fictional currency units, compared over equal periods.

  1. 01

Read the contribution, not just the sales

    Period A: 100 net sales − 55 variable costs − 20 advertising = 25 contribution.
    Period B: 120 net sales − 78 variable costs − 22 advertising = 20 contribution.

  2. 02

    Separate the explanations

Sales rose, but contribution after advertising fell. Check item-level costs, product mix, discounts and returns before treating extra spend as the answer. This comparison alone does not establish the cause.

  3. 03

    Make the next move conditional

If verified product mix explains the shortfall, test one offer for a stronger-contribution product with sufficient demand. Keep the market and other major changes stable.

  4. 04

Give the test an owner and a limit

In this fictional plan, finance verifies costs and the marketing lead owns the test. Additional spend is capped at 5 units; review on day 30 against the agreed comparison, allowing for returns.

What would change the decision?

If contribution after variable costs and advertising does not improve against the comparison, do not scale the test. If returns or evidence are incomplete, record the result as inconclusive.

Net sales are after discounts and returns; variable costs here exclude advertising. Contribution still has to cover fixed costs and is not operating profit. The example is not a forecast or a guarantee.
